Two Week Update

Well, I have been out of work for almost two weeks now. I can not believe how quickly the time is going by. Things I have done in the last two weeks include:

• Spending two sick days together with my son
• Gathering contacts in the illustration world
• Researching printing companies for postcards and business cards
• Checking out my local libraries to see what they have to offer
• Finished a painting and submitted it to an art gallery in Texas
• Getting caught up on laundry
• Weekly lunch dates with my husband and my girlfriend
• Various errands

I still have loose items to tie up from work that are still requiring calls to get resolved...sigh.

I'm ready to get painting now. During my research phrase these past couple weeks, I learned that Renoir painted 8 paintings a day in the summer when he was young. WOW. I will be happy if I can complete one a day. I better get busy!

Trip to the thrift store

Today in front of the thrift store, I saw an Asian woman walking with her dog. Her little dog was wearing a blue sweater. The dog was not on a leash but he followed the woman faithfully. I wish I had my camera, it would have made a lovely photo. So instead I made a collage.
